CEO and Founder, Ingrid Deon, started word-craft in October 2019 as a solopreneur after having worked at a digital marketing agency in Halifax/Toronto for 3+ years. She started the business with four clients -- a small record label, Cove Kombucha, Manulife Bank of Canada and Nestlé Canada. Because of Ingrid's expertise and passion for social media, the business started growing quite quickly. In 2020, she hired her first employee and word-craft grew to a team of two. In 2021, she hired two more employees and took on dozens of new clients.
Today, word-craft is a team of six talented women who work with 35+ clients both locally and nationally.

Ingrid Deon, Founder and CEO of word-craft, started her business in 2019 as a solopreneur after having worked at a digital marketing agency in Halifax/Toronto for more than 3 years. Today, word-craft is a team of five talented women who have worked with more than 50 clients locally, nationally and internationally. Ingrid was a Finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year award in 2024 and word-craft has won the Provincial Spotlight Award at Digital Nova Scotia’s Tech Forward Awards as well as the Rising Star Award at the Yarmouth and Area Chamber of Commerce Awards. Ingrid is passionate about hiring local talent and giving opportunities to people in the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia area to work in an award-winning digital marketing agency.
erin nickerson
Erin joined the word-craft team in September 2023. She graduated from the Office Administration course at NSCC Burridge Campus in Yarmouth, NS in 2018. She has been working in the administrative field for the past five years at a not for profit organization in the community.
Erin is the Operations Manager at word-craft. She loves to organize and work with numbers and spreadsheets. She joined the team to help implement processes and policies, and to help make the company work more efficiently. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, along with her two ginger cats.

Ayélé began working at word-craft as a student in 2020 and has come back after graduating from the University of King’s College. She is from Halifax and is currently doing a Master’s program in Barcelona, Spain.

photographer & designer
Hannah has been the photographer/designer at word-craft since 2022. She has a background in multiple visual arts such as painting, illustration and goldsmithing. She loves making products aesthetically stand out on social media, taking great attention to detail to create something beautiful.
Hannah is originally from Germany and has called Nova Scotia her home since 2019. Besides having a passion for all things creative, she loves travelling, cooking and gardening.
